It’s time to begin previewing the next crowdfunding for Torg Eternity, Tharkold! As usual, please remember that much of what will be previewed is still in development and the final result may differ. So without further ado…
Last time, I talked about the Acolyte, a hero we have been trying to make a little more challenging to play. This time, I talk about one we wanted to make a little easier. The Hunter has always taken a bit of time to set up, but once she gets there, she does a lot of damage. We wanted to keep this feeling but make it a little clearer to new players.
We have been thinking for a long time about how we can create an online convention that deserves the name Ulisses and meets our requirements. Finally, the time has come.
July 24-26th brings Ulisses Online Convention.
As you know, it is never enough for us to do the simple thing and do what everyone does. We will go one step further with Ulisses Online Con.
Together our German and American colleagues will work together to create a continuous convention experience for the entire weekend. The whole thing will start on July 24th. at 6 p.m. (9am Pacific) with the German team and the official opening. At around 10:00 p.m. (1pm Pacific) we hand off to the American team to continue the fun. On the morning of July 25th the German team takes over again and so forth.
You read that right. The Ulisses Online Convention will offer you events around the clock. The streaming program will run on our Twitch channel. A Discord server will be spun up for the RPG sessions.
As is usual for our conventions, there will be an information desk for the Ulisses Online Convention, which will be available 24 hours a day if you have any questions. Both the American and the German teams will answer questions in both German and English.
But that’s not all. To help you get the convention experience at home, you can order a convention package from us on our ounline shop next week. The Ulisses Online Con package includes:
- a convention cup,
- convention dice
- and a convention t-shirt.
Information about the exact program and our international guests appearances on livestreams will follow in the next few days and weeks.
We look forward to a wonderful Ulisses Online Convention. Together, with you, we let the dragon fly.
Our Worlds – Your Adventures
Today was Episode 4 of Ulisses Worlds. This week we had special guest Eric Simon. Eric is the translation developer for Aventuria, the Line Developer for Myth: Dawn of Heroes and our crowdfunding manager. In this episode he premiers a new article and video about the Acolyte hero in Dawn of Heroes.
Dawn of Heroes is still deep in playtesting, but we have been making excellent progress. Although many things may yet change, I wanted to share some of our specific thoughts about individual heroes. As I indicated in the movement article, my goal is to clarify, differentiate, and balance the elements of Myth. I do not want to change how they feel to play, except to make them feel MORE like that.
Today was our third episode of Ulisses Worlds, a news show about all things Ulisses. Timothy Brown our Studio Director and Robert Adducci our Community and Social Media Manager talk about what we’ve been up to and where we’re headed in the future. This week features special guest Darrell Hayhurst, he talks about Torg Eternity and what he’s working on lately….Space 1889.
This week marked the end of the Stay at Home and Play The Dark Eye, but we know a lot of folks are still at home and still looking to play games with friends online. To faciliate that we have a host of Torg Eternity resources and products to help you do that!
